I like to tell visual stories that raise awareness about animal rights and enviromental issues.

I also do animation for films and music videos and build cool websites.

Spectral Symbiosis

An experimental animated short film that explores the relationship between humans and nature. Shot in December 2023 to support the ongoing battle to ban whaling in Iceland, the film takes viewers to spontaneous locations around Reykjavik and poses the question: can humanity find a more harmonious rhythm with nature?

Starneši

An analog projection performance that took place in Riga, Latvia, in November 2018, spanning multiple cold evenings and told stories of three endangered animal species in Latvia. Created in collaboration with illustrator Kitija Role and activists from the animal rights group Dzīvnieku Brīvība.

Analogue documentary projection installation about deforestation in Latvia. A collage of Super8 and 16mm projections depticing the degradation of forest habitats in Latvia.

Physical Evidence Museum

A digital version of a documentary exhibition by Laura Stašāne and Jana Jacuka that examines domestic violence from the perspective of women survivors. The collection consists of everyday items—witnesses of domestic violence—gathered with the help of women from Latvia, Estonia, Poland, and Switzerland.

Knuts Skujenieks

A digital museum documenting the life and work of Knuts Skujenieks (1936–2022), a Latvian poet, publicist, and translator. It includes an extensive list of his works, a biography, a photo archive, and a 360° tour of the house where he lived and worked. Many items in the digital archive, such as photos and objects in the house, feature spoken descriptions and stories narrated by Knuts himself.
